Tvasta, collaborated with Saint-Gobain, and constructed 3D-printed Doffing Units during the peak pandemic period to protect India’s healthcare workers in the frontlines against COVID-19. The Doffings Units, each of about 150 sq.ft., have been deployed at a Government Hospital in Kancheepuram near Chennai and at Omandurar Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. The units were equipped with a wash basin, water closet, shower, UV-C sterilisation box, automatic sanitiser and soap dispensers. A special provision for PPE disposal is provided with a disposal chute to minimise the contamination from the PPE.
